An opulent, mysterious, and perilous fortress is the setting as Bruce Lee seeks to claim infinite wealth and the secret of immortality from the wizard who dwells within.

You begin your search for the wizard at the entrance to his fortress. This chamber, and each chamber here, is sealed off from the other rooms. The only way to get from one room to the adjoining room is to jump up and take the lanterns which hang from the ceiling. When you get all the lanterns (or at least certain lanterns) for that room, the door opens. (Watch the edges of your screen so that you’ll see when your exit is possible.) Hint: You must get all of the lanterns in the first three rooms in order to proceed. Then go to the middle room and look for the opening through which you can exit.

Throughout your search for the wizard, you are attacked by the ninja brandishing their BOKKEN sticks. Even more dangerous is the Yamo, who runs after you and delivers crushing kicks. Duck and run away to foil their attempts to harm you, then come back kicking and chopping. Take as many lanterns and cover as much ground as you can before these foes reappear.

To get around each room, you can climb vines (up, down, or sideways), ride on waves of particles which change direction at random, leap from ledge to ledge, and jump down from a ledge without injury.

Hazards and traps await you in rooms close to the wizard’s chamber. You must avoid electrical charges passing through gaps between ledges, PAN lights streaming across the floor, and exploding T’SUNG-LIN (bushes) appearing from nowhere.

When you finally reach the wizard, keep away from the fire balls streaming from his head.

Unlock and complete every game mode to become the Ultimate bruce lee. Some modes are unlocked by completing others modes, some by killing a certain amount of bad guys and others by collecting the golden bruce lee statues.

Echo the Mouse 2 was a short game put together for a Blueray book that demonstrated Multimedia Fusion’s (MMF) new ability to export its games in JAVA. The first version for BluRay is cut down to allow it to run on pretty basic Bluray devices and features flip screen scrolling over a single large level. The object is to collect all the cheese in the level.

The version available here is a modified version to fit on standard display sizes (BluRay hi-def is a bit too bit ).

Click the link above to start the game (you need JAVA from Sun), click the applet to give it focus. Cursor keys to move and SHIFT key to jump/start the game.

One of our entries for first Retro Remakes games competition. An epic game from the classic Commodore 64.

Instructions

You are Tal, the last hope for mankind’s successors in a post-apocalyptic world which has been destroyed by the invasion of a hostile alien race. The legendary sacred armour of Antiriad, an advanced anti-radiation suit, is the only weapon available to overthrow them. You have to find the suit and its components that are strewn about the landscape and then to use it to free your people.

This is a popular game from the 8-bit computers, and we feel we have done a faithful remake. However, it is not an easy game and exploration and learning is essential. If you are stuck, do a search on Google for Antiriad and you will find plenty of maps and solutions. If you are really stuck, try our getting started video 2Mb (Windows Media file)

Remake Details

So many rave reviews about this one – we just had to attempt a remake of it. The main code has taken a little over a week to complete. The graphics elements of the game will be recreated in a hybrid style of spectrum/c64 and Amstrad – all in glorious 32 bit colour.

Each 8 bit version has its own merrits – each of which will be recreated into an “easier” game than its original.

Now completed I can also tell you that we improved the gameplay slightly by allowing TAL (when not in his suit) to throw his little rock with a varying throwing arc. This is accomplished by pressing up/down whilst holding the fire button.

We sprused up the sfx by having the suit announce its status rather than just having it scroll across the status bar.

Game Background

A remake of Octopus on the Game and Watch, converted in glorious cartoon fun! Take a diver down to retrieve the treasure but watch out for the Octopus’ tenticles.

Instructions

Rinso wants treasure…lots of it! There happens to be a great treasure chest deep below on the ocean floor which belongs to the starfish tribe. They put it there to keep the big nasty octopus happy, he likes shiney things!
And that is Rinso’s problem, getting at the treasure without the Octopus catching him. The Octopus thinks Rinso’s suit is nice and shiney too and would love to add his rotting corpse to his collection of treasure!!

Take care and help Rinso collect all the treasure!

Before you start a game, you have the choice of a few options.

* Credits – view the credits LOL!

* Instructions – in game help on how to play

* Detail level – on slower PC’s, you can turn down the detail and animation. There are three settings

* Bomb out – quit the game

* Four levels of difficulty – to the right are four levels of difficulty, from baby level to insane. Play which ever setting gives you the best challenge. Click one of these to start the game.

You start floating in your boat, with three Rinso’s. Press the SHIFT key to jump into the water, but wait for the Octopus’s tenticle to move out the way.

You can swim left and right with the cursor keys.

You can swim up if you repeatidly press the SHIFT key as fast as you can. The faster you press, the quicker you will rise (your suite is heavy you know!)

You can inflate your suit by holding the CTRL key. This will make you rise quickly, but it uses up precious oxygen (O2).

When you are standing on the ocean floor next to the treasure, HOLD down the SHIFT key to get a scoop of treasure, you won’t be let back in to the boat if you return empty handed!

If you empty the treasure chest, don’t worry…some one is sure to come along and top it up.

The more treasure you collect, the angrier the Octopus will become. Watch out, he’ll get harder!

Another Spectrum remake – JetPac
This was my first attempt at a PC game. Used this basically as a testbed for new graphics routines. In those days this game ran soo quick even on a 286 (gosh remember those!)

A bit dated now – and now playing it seems the collision routines are a bit close.

How to play

Use the cursor keys to move the man

TAB key to fire

Use left, right and Up to thrust.

The aim of the game is to build your spaceship by collecting the various pieces and dropping them in order on top of each other.

Once built, fuel will then be dropped to the planets surface. Collect these and drop them onto the now built spaceship.

When the spaceship flashes just move the jetman into the ship. It will then lift from the planets surface.
