If you've enjoyed any of our freeware games and would like to support the Ovine by Design website, a small donation would be extremely appreciated. Our thanks.

Originally created for the Atari ST using the STOS game programming language, Mouth Trap was a winning competition entry by Darren Ithell and was included on the Games Galore pack featuring the STOS Squasher.  This was a game that stood out amongst the other games on offer because it had an immediate pick up an play appeal and plenty of levels to attempt to get through.

In 2008 Ovine by Design created a remake with updated graphics and sound for the GLBASIC GP2X competition in which it came a respectable second.  The updated game features an editor so you can create your own levels and runs on Windows and the GP2X hand held open source console.  Other platforms may be supported at a later date.

There is obvious insperation from games such as Bubble Bobble, Pac Man and the like.

There is a version available to download, click the link above to get it.  It is not 100% complete as it is missing the item bonuses and not all levels have been created or refined.   The download contains a Windows exe and also a GP2X file for playing on the handheld console of the same name :)

Come back soon for updates on the progress of this remake.
